Synthetic Rubbers

Synthetic rubbers are important bases for adhesives. They are flexible and are used to attach felt or similar materials to automobile body panels, and are used in the joining of leather and rubber. The moisture resistance is excellent and the bond strength adequate for many purposes. However, most rubber adhesives are unsuitable for highly stressed joints due to a tendency to creep under stress.
